Abstract

The information system based on image analysis by segmentation
techniques have wide range of utilities. The information system based
on research on image analysis includes, but not limited to industrial
inspection, tracking of objects in a sequence of images, traffic
control systems, classification of terrains visible in satellite images,
geomorphological mapping of land surfaces, crop analysis in
agriculture, and treatment planning in medical science. This paper is
focused to study and review the tradeoff between various
approaches for analyzing the abnormalities in brain MR Images by
segmentation techniques. We preferred to use MRI compared to
other brain imaging techniques due to its quality parameters for the
purpose of detecting abnormalities. The result leads to plan precise
treatment for the medical practitioners. In addition, the proposed
study has given roadmap to improve accuracy and precision to
detect abnormal tissues using classification and clustering methods
of Image Segmentation.
