Abstract

The case is about business potential in renewable energy sector in general and business of Suzlon Energy Ltd. in particular. The company had a humble beginning in 1995 where by 3 mw wind farm was set up by the founder of Suzlon, Mr Tulsi Tanti for captive consumption. Over the years the company has grown to become fourth largest wind energy player in the world and largest in India by identify, designing, manufacturing, supplying, erecting and commissioning the wind farms on turnkey basis. The operations of the company are global and integrated. Further it is a brief narration of various strategies used by the company may it be business or marketing and its outcomes.
